Competent Person
Every company is required by law to appoint a competent person, to assist in meeting their health and safety responsibilities. For small and medium enterprises the use of an external health and safety advisor is often the most cost effective way of achieving compliance. We will work with you to ensure you are fully compliant with every aspect of health and safety legislation.
Audits and Inspections
Audits and inspections are an essential part of understanding whether or not you are meeting legislative requirements and industry best practice standards. We will carry out inspections of the physical premises, work activities, systems of working, risks assessments and policies. Reports will be plain and simple and will identify any areas where action is required to achieve legal compliance.
Risk Assessment
It is a legal requirement for an employer to assess all risks to which employees may be exposed and ensure the risk is treated to ensure that persons are as far as reasonable practical protected. Where more than 5 persons are employed, these assessments must be documented and reviewed as necessary. Accident Investigation
Accidents cannot always be prevented. It is essential that any accidents at work are fully investigated and documented. This will help to ensure they are not repeated by identifying any failings in the health and safety management system. A thorough well documented accident investigation will provide evidence in the event of civil or criminal litigation. We will provide a comprehensive report which includes all relevant information, witness statements, photographs, conclusions and recommendations. Follow up advice and support is available should the matter proceed to court.
